Our Story

“My children didn’t like wearing hats. They felt itchy, too tight, or simply uninteresting. I had to convince them to put them on - and constantly remind them not to take them off.”

This is how OliviMilly began.

Irina Zasimovich, a mother of four, started creating hats for her own children - pieces they would actually want to wear. The first designs featured woodland characters: little deer, rabbits and bears. Each item came with a story, turning clothing into something engaging rather than obligatory.


This experience shaped the foundation of the brand. The focus goes beyond how a piece looks — it is about how it feels to a child: whether it is comfortable, soft, and something they choose to wear again.

Materials

Finding the right material became a key part of the process. The brand chose baby alpaca — a natural fiber known for its exceptional softness, hypoallergenic properties and ability to retain warmth without heaviness.

Today, baby alpaca remains at the core of OliviMilly collections. We source it from Peru and combine it with organic cotton and other carefully selected yarns.

Design Approach

Each collection is developed as a capsule. Every piece is designed to work together - in color, proportion and overall mood.

We focus on natural tones, balanced silhouettes and refined details. Hand embroidery is used thoughtfully, without excess, maintaining a clean and recognisable aesthetic.

This approach allows the pieces to integrate easily into a wardrobe and remain relevant over time.

Production

We obsess over the details and strive to deliver the best products at the best prices, every time.All products are handcrafted in our workshop in Kazakhstan by skilled artisans specialising in knitting and embroidery.

The production process is structured to ensure consistency in quality while preserving the character of handmade work. Each stage - from creation to finishing - is handled within our team.

We do not operate as mass production. This allows us to work in limited batches and maintain attention to detail.

OliviMilly works with a distributed team of artisans, many of whom create pieces from their homes.
